<image:caption>Agua Viva is an outreach ministry of Great Oaks International. We are committed to living out the good news of Jesus Christ (the Living Water) alongside materially poor rural communities in Southern Honduras. To meet their greatest expressed need of clean water and to gain trust and acceptance, we enter into individual lives, working alongside the community to bring fresh water to each home through a gravity water system. We are equally committed to facilitate a STM experience that will help each volunteer become more passionate for God and compassionate for His people.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Approach - Approach</image:title>
<image:caption>Over 25 years ago two brothers who grew up on the mission field became increasingly dissatisfied with how short-term missions were structured. All too often, a seemingly impenetrable wall of differences separated North American missionaries from the materially poor communities they came to serve. The brothers, Larry and Jonathan Smoak, responded to this challenge by developing a model which fosters relationships between North American teams and their Honduran partners, being careful not to provide "help that hurts". Since 2003, Agua Viva has followed this model and facilitated the construction of 20+ gravity-fed water systems. These projects have provided rural communities with clean, accessible drinking water as well as latrines while pointing to the hope found in Jesus Christ, the “Living Water”.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Campus Adullam is an "Abandoned to Christ" community set on experiencing the overwhelming joy of Christ's love by living in community and walking by the Spirit. Living a life of ultimate joy is found in the all-sufficiency of Christ. Some may describe this lifestyle as a radical abandon to Christ, daily trading the comforts of this world for the joy found in Christ. Core areas of focus at Campus Adullam discipleship training center include one's new identity in Christ, inner healing, Bible training, sustainable agriculture and micro-enterprise.</image:caption>

<image:caption>"The 600", also known as Campus Adullam, is a rustic discipleship training center located on the northern coast of Honduras in the town of Las Mongas. The names come from a stronghold referred to in the Old Testament, near the town of Adullam, where a future King David sought refuge from then King Saul. 600 loyal followers believed David had been chosen by God to succeed King Saul and lived in a cave, completely abandoned to the kingdom. David refused to fight unfairly. God honored his high ethical standards and he and his men were known throughout Israel for their deeds of valor.</image:caption>
